New publicists named at EA UK


Bennoy joins as Woolnough transfers to The Sims team  Venom hires Jon Bennison as in-house designer  MMO marketing firm recruits former Jagex man


ELECTRONIC ARTS l BRYONY BENNOY (pictured far left) has joined EA as its new publicist for the Games label.


In her new role, she will be working on some of the publisher’s biggest titles, including BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic, Mass Effect 3and American McGee’s


Alice: Madness Returns. Bennoy previously worked for four months at Soho-based PR agency Kazoo, handling toys and video games for Disney. Before this, she spent two and a half years at Ubisoft as senior PR executive. Meanwhile, GEM WOOLNOUGH has been named as publicist for The


Sims, leaving her previous position as publicist for international PR on the EA Play label.


“I’m really excited to join the award-winning PR team,” she said. “It’s going to be an exciting year for The Simsand I’m really looking forward to being a part of it.”


VENOM l The Hertfordshire-based peripherals vendor has hired JON BENNISON as its new in-house designer.


Bennison will be responsible for creating unique products and packaging for Venom’s in-house accessory range. “Jon is a great edition to the team,” said head of business development TOM HODGE. “With our ever increasing product range and the need to create more bespoke packs, Jon gives us great flexibility. He has great eye for design and


understanding of the market.”


MMO TRAFFIC l OLIVER KERN has joined the international MMO marketing company, MMO Traffic. Kern takes up the newly created role of performance and intelligence director. He was previously head of online strategy at notable MMO developer/publisher Jagex, where he was instrumental in the overall marketing plans for RuneScapeand War of Legends. In his new role, he will help MMO Traffic develop its new marketing technology and targeted affiliate program. “MMO Traffic has developed a platform that is innovative for not only the online gaming market, but for the broader advertising industry as well,” said Kern.


“I’m really looking forward to working with the team as we continue to improve upon our technology. This platform will set the benchmark for quality traffic and high conversion rates by matching the right audience with the right game.”
