medical micro-needling™ THE FACTS!

Medical Micro Needling

Medical Micro-Needling, also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) and Micro- Needling is aimed at stimulating the body’s own collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, skin laxity and scarring such as that caused by acne or chicken pox. It has also been successfully applied to the indication of hair restoration in cases of alopecia.

The Skin Post Treatment

Depending on the area of your face or body being treated and the type of device used, (i.e. needle length) the procedure is said to be well tolerated and in some cases virtually painless; feeling like a mild prickling sensation. The skin can be pink or red in appearance for a couple of hours following medical micro-needling treatment.

The THREE major advantages for medical-micro-needling

• Medical micro-needling is revolutionary. It does the same job that lasers and other ablative methods by increasing the production of collagen with no damage to the protective layer of the skin.

• Medical micro-needling is effective. In fact, at least just as effective as lasers, IPL, Thermage and other ‘machine-based’ treatments, but at a fraction of the cost to patients and clinics.

• Medical micro-needling is safe. “Non-surgical and non-ablative” means ‘forgiving’ and skin- friendly treatments. Patients experience little pain, very short downtime, and minimal risk for complications.

The Treatment Double Effect

1) The treatment includes skin cleansing, application of topical anesthetic prior to rolling with a sterile roller containing 540 very fine needles which penetrate the skin. The sterile roller is rolled over the skin to create up to one million microscopic channels. Each of these one million micro-injurys encourages the body to produce new collagen and elastin. The skin becomes thicker, plumper and more youthful.

2) The one million micro delivery channels combined with nano-molecular encapsulation guarantee the infusion of CLINICARE® sterile growth factors and biomimetic peptides direct to the papillary dermal layer of the skin where collagen and elastin fibers are located for maximum results. Clinical studys have proven that skin absorption can be increased by up to 1000 times following micro-needling.

Medical Skin Needling background history

The clinical concept of using surgical needles in minimally invasive skin rejuvenation and repair procedures started to develop as a recognised technique during the mid 1990s. However since the new development of the CLINICARE® disc needle therapy precision device containing three times more needles (540 needles) than its predecessors, and the needles are 33% thinner meaning less patient discomfort, minimal downtime and unsurpassed results. It is felt that the significant benefits that medical skin needling can now provide are beginning to establish themselves as key treatment options available to medical physicians and beauty clinics.
