Face Mapping made easier!

I like to keep on step ahead of the competition, and so I was thrilled to discover Dermalogica’s new Face Mapping app for the iPad.

Designed specifically for the working professional therapist, the concept replaces the need for a paper-based prescription sheet. It records your skin analysis and provides tools like a product directory, notes and a zone wheel. All I need do is make product recommendations, and a pdf prescription is produced that I email direct to my clients. Simple!

Annette’s a winner!

French top anti-ageing spend

Linda Keating and AIT’s Dave Horton present Annette with her prize

Last month we reported that Annette O’Brien of Le Beau Beauty Salon in Macroom, Co.Cork was the winner of the Beauty in Pink 2010 fundraising campaign, held in association with the Marie Keating Foundation and Associated Irish Therapists (AIT).

AIT director Dave Horton and the Foundation’s Linda Keating were delighted to present Annette with her prize of a year’s membership to AIT and a beautiful bouquet of flowers, on the AIT stand at this year’s Irish Beauty Show.

“We were amazed that Annette and the team at Le Beau Beauty Salon raised a fabulous €1,300.65, and therefore thrilled to present her with her prize,” commented Dave Horton.

Custom-made treatments

Forward-thinking salon Revive has teamed up with Dermalogica, to exclusively launch two new custom made facial treatments.

The salon in Miltown Road Dublin 6 now offers the Dermalogica Refresh, a 30-minute skin treatment to enliven and hydrate dull complexions, and the Dermalogica Revitalise, a 45-minute treatment to restore radiance. Treatments are also available at Revive Express in Dublin 2.

The latest research from Mintel reveals that while women may economise on many areas of personal care expenditure, facial skin care is not one of them.

Fine lines and wrinkles are the top ageing concerns for European consumers, cited by more than half (53%) of Spanish consumers, fi ve in ten (48%) in France, and four in ten (46%) consumers in Italy and 44% in the UK. German consumers are most relaxed with just three in ten (33%) worrying about it.

Mintel’s research also shows that image conscious French women splashed the most on anti-ageing products in 2010 at

Revive Express, located in Dublin 2, also offers the new Dermalogica treatments.
