Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) One to two years • 60 credits of learning at level 7 offering professional development in defined areas of practice


Postgraduate Diploma (PgD) Two to four years • 120 credits of learning at masters level offering professional development in defined areas of practice at level 7

Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Duration is variable depending on experience: from 2 months to 2 years If you have already completed an honours degree, this course gives you the opportunity to train as a teacher for the 5- to-11 age range


Single module Duration is variable: from one week to six months As well as enrolling onto a complete programme, we welcome professionals who choose to register on just a single module or two. Our aim is to offer adaptable, flexible and sustainable CPD—the choice is yours


University Award (UA) Six months to one year Typically 40 credits of learning at level 4, level 5 or level 6 or at a combination of levels


University Diploma (UD) One to two years • 60 credits of learning at level 5, useful if you are moving into a different field of practice and need to develop specific knowledge or skill


University Advanced Diploma (UAD) One to two years • 60 credits of learning at level 6 in focused subject areas


University Certificate (UC) One to two years • 60 credits of learning at level 4


Year 0


One to two years This indicates that the course has a Year 0 option. If your study skills are not quite at the level needed for an undergraduate degree, you can still begin your academic career of your chosen course to develop and extend the skills you need to get you ready for year one
