Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) Two to three years • 120 credits at level 4, of value if you are just beginning your academic journey


Credits A credit is a unit that gives weighting to the value, level or time requirement of a course


Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) Three to four years • 120 credits at level 4 and 120 credits at level 5


Diploma of Higher Education Top-up (DipHE top-up) Two to three years • 120 credits at level 5 (applicants will already have 120 credits at level 4)


Foundation degree (FdA/FdSc) Three to four years Foundation degrees are degree-level qualifications, designed with the guidance of employers, and combining academic study with workplace learning.

Graduate Diploma (GradDip) Two to three years • 120 academic credits of learning at level 6, for those who have been awarded an honours degree

BA—Bachelor of Arts BSc—Bachelor of Science LLB—Bachelor of Laws


• 120 academic credits of learning at level 4, 120 credits at level 5 and 120 credits at level 6


Honours degree Top-up (BA/BSc (Hons) top-up) Two to three years If you have already completed a foundation degree, HND or Diploma (HE) these courses give you the opportunity to gain a full honours degree. • 120 academic credits of learning at level 6 (applicants will already have 120 credits at level 4 and 120 credits at level 5)


Masters (MA/MBA/MSc) Two to five years


MA—Master of Arts MBA—Master of Business Administration MSc—Master of Science


• 180 academic credits of learning at level 7 including dissertation


• identified exit points at postgraduate certificate (60 credits) and postgraduate diploma (120 credits)
