Designed to withstand prolonged immersion in water, DEM Manufacturing's latest series of aluminiumenclosures are said to provide the highest standard of protection against dust and water. Thismakes themideal for systems exposed to demanding environmental conditions inmarine, industrial, food preparation, transportation, leisure and other applications.
The new Deltron 480 and 483 series of enclosures are rated at
IP67 and IP68 as defined in the IEC standard 60529. IP68 is the highest grade of protection defined in this standard. Deltron IP67 enclosures will withstand immersion in water to depths of up to one metre for 30minutes. The IP68 enclosures can handle depths of up to fivemetres for one hour. All are certified to BS EN60529 1992.
Products in the range are complemented by the company's
established in-housemachining, finishing and box-build services, whereby DEMManufacturing aims to provide purchasers with a cost-effective and complete one stop solution, for both low and high volume requirements.
Manufactured in aluminium380 alloy, the Deltron 480 series offers
15 sizes of standard box, while the Deltron 483 series consists of nine sizes of flanged boxes. Sizes range from60 by 55 by 31mmto 275 by 175 by 66mm. According to DEMManufacturing, this is the largest range available froma UK or European supplier.
The line-up is further
enhancedwith a range of die cast aluminiumenclosures, plain and coated, flanged, sealed, IP65 and IP66 products,which are also available fromDEMManufacturing alongside a selection of ABS and polycarbonate IP65 enclosures.
