Make pullout a thiNg of the past
This V-Lock systemfrom Schurter promises to prevent unintentional unplugging. Various different connectors, power entrymodules and several country-specific power cables are available.
Suitable for use with 10
and 16A power inlets and connectors according to IEC 60320, the V-Lock locking systemfeatures a pin in the socket, interlocking with a notch in the plug, thereby preventing unintentional pullout of the power cable. Thismeans there is no need for a specific socket systemor retaining device that has to be adapted and built-in.
Pressing the easily identifiable yellow lever releases the lock. The
extraction force is aminimumof 200N. Typical applications are in medical appliances, analysis and laboratory instruments, telecom and IT devices, power distribution or radio and TV-studios.

No Need to upsize
Now available fromBinder UK are a new range of high power M12 connectors that can carry up to eight amps on each contact. These IP67 rated connectors will find applications in industrial sensors, instrumentation and automation systems.
Until nowM12 connectors
have been limited to four amps with a maximum cable diameter of eight millimetres and individual wire sizes of 0.75mm². This made it necessary to specify larger circular or more cumbersome connectors such as mixed layout D-types. The new Binder connectors have modified screw termination cable clamps to accommodate wires of up to 1.5mm² and with a larger cable outlet, cables up to 10mm diameter can be used.
These high powerM12 connectors can carry eight amps at 250V
on the four-pole versionswhile the five-pole can carry four times eight amps and one times two amps at 125V. The contacts are gold plated in order to reduce the transfer resistance and lost heat value.
