A show for the Industry by the Industry
In January of this year we announced our plans to host a new biennial working plant show named PLANTWORX which will take place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire in May 2013. The new exhibition will have a strong focus on construction equipment, tools and equipment accessories – and we have made machinery demonstration its core feature.
PLANTWORX is the CEA’s response to our members’ enthusiasm for a new event which will give them a solid return for their marketing investment. By organising it as a trade show “for the industry, by the industry” we plan to be responsive to both exhibitor and visitor requirements. This is why we have consulted widely amongst the construction community on what they want to see in the show.
This is an exciting project and it is important for us to get the views and opinions of all types of potential visitors and exhibitors. PLANTWORX will not only be about the “big boys’ toys” but will aim to reflect the whole spectrum of equipment and services. We have already had some valuable input and support from the Construction Plant- hire Association on what they would like to see. We also have good contacts with Hire Association Europe and their views about the needs of the providers and users of smaller kit and tools will be sought. This is one of the reasons why our Exhibitor Open Day on 25th May is so important. It will not only give companies a chance to get to know Stoneleigh Park but to input into the design, format and feel of the show. This is what we mean by organising a show “by the industry, for the industry”. We believe that the key to
this show’s success will be the largest demonstration areas ever provided at a UK event. For those exhibitors not demonstrating competitively priced ready to exhibit stands will be available. An undercover pavilion with 60 stands for ancillary products will also be constructed with scope to grow.
