Sonora, CA, Lodge members and ladies auxiliary members, in coopera- tion with the Visiting Hospitalized Veterans Association, visited several area care facilities and gave Christ- mas bags containing toiletries and a deck of playing cards to more than 60 veterans. Lodge members also gave fingerless leather gloves for wheel- chair users to nearly 40 veterans.


Sunnyvale, CA, Lodge members treated 110 veterans to Christmas Dinner at the lodge.


Walnut Creek, CA, Lodge members, along with Santa Claus, visited the Martinez VA Community Living Center and gave gifts to 111 veterans.


Gunnison, CO, Lodge donated $250 to the Homelake Colorado State Veter- ans Center to purchase a bench for residents of the center.


Lakewood, CO, Lodge members visited the Colorado State Veterans Home at Fitzsimmons, treated 60

veterans and their families to a Christmas carol sing-along, and gave each veteran a present.


Bristol, CT, Lodge members visited the Veterans Home and Hospital and donated $500 to the home to purchase gifts for resident veterans.


Brandon, FL, Lodge members and ladies auxiliary members visited the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital’s Spinal Cord Injury Unit and gave gift baskets to 100 veterans being treated there. Lodge and ladies auxiliary members also gave a bag of candies and snacks to each of the six nurses’ stations in the unit.


Englewood, FL, Lodge members visited 20 veterans living in local nursing homes and gave each of them a gift basket.


Fort Pierce, FL, Lodge members appeared on a local news program to discuss the Presidential Memorial Certificate Program, a US govern- ment program that sends certificates signed by the sitting US president to the family members of veterans who are deceased.

Holiday Isles, FL, Lodge members visited the Bay Pines VA medical facility and treated 125 veterans to a barbecue dinner and live musical entertainment.
