Brazil, IN, Lodge held a 50-mile Bicycle Ride fund-raiser and raised $1,000 for the state major project, which supports cancer research centers at Indiana University and Purdue University.


Goodland, KS, Lodge held a Blue Star Banner Program during which lodge members honored the families of 12 active-duty US troops and treated them to live patriotic musical entertainment. Vero Beach, FL, Lodge members visited the Wabasso School, which serves children with special needs, and treated more than 45 students to a Christmas Party, which featured dessert and a visit with Santa, who gave each child a gift.


Coeur d’Alene, ID, Lodge adopted five needy families through the Adopt-A- Family Program of the North Idaho Violence Prevention Center. The lodge donated a total of $2,500 worth of gifts and food to the five families.


Des Plaines, IL, Lodge donated four meat-and-cheese trays, 30 loaves of bread, 200 deviled eggs, and 30 cases of soft drinks to the USO of Illinois to help feed military personnel and family members traveling through Chicago O’Hare International Airport over the holiday season.


Joliet, IL, Lodge members delivered Christmas food baskets to nearly 100 needy families.


In other news, the lodge donated a wreath to the ComEd Festival of Trees, a fund-raiser that supports the Rialto Square Theater’s community arts program. The wreath was auctioned off for $300. The lodge also

Farmington, ME, Lodge donated $750 to a family with two disabled children to help purchase a stroller for the children. The lodge also donated a large bread-making machine to the Harris House, a home for disabled adults, and gave $100 to Operation Santa Claus, which provides gifts to needy children.


Frederick, MD, Lodge donated the use of lodge grounds to the Patti Pilatus Foundation for the foundation’s

Springfield, IL, Lodge donated $1,000 to the annual Christmas Party for clients of Goodwill Industries of
