If you’ve ever considered passing your wealth of skills and knowledge onto others, then why not sign up to The Waverley Academy’s latest ITEC and FETAC teacher training programmes?

Derek O Kelly, Director of Teacher Training at The Waverley Academy (formerly Irish Academy) explains: “Teaching others can be an extremely gratifying experience but understanding the adult learning principles is crucial in becoming an effective teacher.

“Many of the theories have resulted in educational institutions revisiting teaching methods and devising new curricula for training teachers. This ‘new’ way of teaching challenges educators to devise methods and techniques that foster a positive learning environment.

“Understanding these principles can be a much more enjoyable and rewarding way to teach, and will ultimately result in learners achieving their learning goals. “
