Staying power
The new Astonishing Nails UV Polish range Gelosophy cures in only two minutes in a 36W UV lamp or 30 seconds in LED light. Available from Asu Nail & Beauty Supplies, it is non-chip, smudge proof, durable and lasts up to four weeks on hands and six to eight weeks on toes.
Gelosophy soaks off in just 10 minutes and comes in 12 wearable colours, with another 12 to be launched soon. It primarily for use on the natural nails but can also be worn over gel or acrylic nail enhancements.
Shellac from CND is a gel polish hybrid with a creamy fluid consistency, and is easily removed within 10 minutes. The fluid formulation lays down thinly and looks like polish, but lasts for up to 14 days. The Shellac Remover Pads make removing the gel polish easy, with adhesive tabs to hold the cotton pads in place.
Shellac is also releasing 12 new shades, expanding the Shellac line to 24 chic shades plus countless layering options. “This new range features perennial classics and fashionable favourites to give salon- goers a wide variety,” says Jan Arnold, CND Co-founder and Style Director.
EzFlow’s Gelez Gel Polish from Nail & Beauty Systems is available in 12 high-gloss colours, ranging from classic pink and white to bold green and purple with a variety of finishes, including crèmes, shimmers and glitters. Gelez cures in two minutes under UV light, and is available in Starter Kits that contain six bottles.

Coming soon to Euro Products is the Gelicure hybrid gel polish by Nubar. Gelicure can be cured in 30 seconds by a LED lamp or two minutes with UV. The premium formula is designed to achieve maximum results, is also certified cruelty free and vegan.
Alongside the Gelicure UV Base Coat and UV Top Coat Sealer, there is an selection of 24 colours.
Cutting edge
The new range of soak off colour gels from OPI, available from Hennessy Hair & Beauty Ltd, combine cutting edge technology with the favourite shades of OPI lacquers. The colours are a mixture of dark and soft shades, shimmers, sheers and matt finishes with an application technique that is easy to master and effective in creating the lacquer look finish that lasts two to three weeks.
Axxium colour gels can be applied without leaving lumps and bumps at the cuticle, and they soak off easily in 10-15 minutes.
Gel-Lac from Crystal Nails is available in 4ml and 15ml jars. There is no need to use a different base and top coat, as you can use the same clear gel polish for both layers. Gel-Lac gives shiny, crack free nails for up to 21 days, and can be easily removed using three tools within three to four minutes. Gel-Lac is now available in 20 countries, and adorned the Hungarian X Factor contestants’ nails!
Crisnails Gel Revolution Gel Polish System from Crisnail is available from La Crème Distribution. Offering a pre-base, gloss finish, soak-off and a range of colours, Crisnail offers quality and value for money. These products can be used with either a UV or LED lamp, whichever you prefer to use.
Jessica’s Geleration Soak-Off Gel Polish paints like polish but performs like gel. Available from Pro Beauté Ltd, Jessica has recently added another 19 colours to the collection. One application lasts up to four weeks, with no chips, touch ups or fading. Even weak, broken or bitten nails are given a new lease of life,
making it ideal as an ongoing manicure solution, or to provide temporary support to help problem nails grow.
You can use any of Jessica’s over 200 colours with the Start and Finish gel base and topcoats, to offer a wide spectrum of colours.
Fast and friendly
Perfect Match from Nobility, available from Asu Nail & Beauty Supplies, offers a fast application, with a choice of 32 colours taking approximately 20 minutes, and pink and white taking approximately 30 minutes. The preparation required prior to the application of Perfect Match is extremely gentle, using a 180grit buffer to remove the shine.
Perfect Match soaks off in only five to 10 minutes, reducing any damage caused to the natural nail plate caused by filing. It has been created for use with standard 36W lamps, with a cure time of only one minute for the base coat and colour applications and three minutes for the topcoat. This means there is no need to purchase a LED lamp if you already have one you use for gel.
Gelac, from Flair Hair & Beauty Supplies, offers long-lasting shine with no chipping, and when it’s time to change colours Gelac soaks off easily in 10 minutes.
