Going green - we hear the termoften these days, whether it relates to what we serve at the dining table, what we wear, or the products we use on our skin and hair.


Organic products were once seen as pretentious and for those who had the luxury of spending more on their weekly shop, but, as we move with the times, people are realising that organic products aren’t just a ‘fad’, they really can benefit us health-wise both on the inside and the outside.


An increasing number of your clients are on the look out for a salon providing organic natural salon treatments and retail products. “Consumers are becoming more and more ingredient conscious these days. We are now at the same place with organic cosmetics as we were with organic food in the 1990s and the trend is growing year on year. Like food, people want pure ingredients and the knowledge that what they are using is natural and organic,” says Noelle O’Connor of TanOrganic.


According to the Organic Monitor, over the last couple of years growth rates have led to a flurry of new product launches in the organic sector and product penetration in retailers is increasing as consumer demand for natural and organic personal care products continues to strengthen. Back
