Top 20 Trend: Hosiery Shoe Semi opaque hosiery makes its way form the leg and down to footwear, giving way to conceptual styling ideas for evening. Pretty in pink tights are worn over an architectural sandal at Estrella Archs, whilst at Hannah Marshall 15 denier hosiery is stretched over an unassuming pump, bringing subtly subversive undertones to the classic style. Viktor and Rolf take reference from schoolgirl socks as lace trims adorn ankle boots in fine innocent white mesh. Whilst the look may seem directional at first, when applied to simplistic silhouettes and kept to key focus areas such as the heel, this is an easy way to contemporize classic styles.

Top 20 Trend: Solid Silver Silver is applied to strappy wedge sandals and Mary Jane’s, instantaneously transporting the vintage styles into the future. Solid silver leather is used all over to create a block effect that is as minimally simplistic as it is striking. At Prada a traditional 40’s style Mary Jane upper is juxtaposed with a chunky 70’s platform edge hybrid, whilst at Max Mara a ladylike upper is teamed with a block heel in opaque resin, further emphasizing the trend for era mixing. Matt through to high shine silver leather is a subtle way of embracing metallic for summer.
