NEWS 40 years for Italian hose clamp manufacturer


In 1971 Silvano Rainati founded Nordic Metalblok for the production of metal hose clamps in Italy. This year the company proudly celebrates its 40 year anniversary.

Fabory headquarters in Tilburg, the Netherlands. The current warehouse is reportedly too small and with labour costs in Czech Republic increasing, manual picking is becoming more and more expensive. Fabory asked Vanderlande to design an automated system for a new ‘green fi eld’ warehouse. Vanderlande was responsible for the ‘goods-to-man’ based Compact Picking System at Fabory’s warehouse in Tilburg, which it is currently upgrading. standard shelf pick locations divided over two fl oors. Six pick locations on the ground fl oor are also equipped with fl ow racks to replenish the shelves more effi ciently. After order picking, the cartons are transported towards the shipping area for quality control, packing, automatic labelling and strapping and sortation (capacity of 300 order cartons per hour). The system and process are controlled by Vanderlande’s VISION Warehouse Control System, interfaced with the SAP host system. The project will start on site early 2011.

New picking system for Fabory Brno


Vanderlande Industries has been selected to implement a Zone Picking System for a new Fabory distribution warehouse in Brno, Czech Republic.
