Having been in the publishing business for nearly 50 years, IC Publications is the indisputable market leader in pan-African titles. We now have a great opportunity for a Senior Sales Executive to work on our New African Woman magazine, for both the English and French editions. Launched 2 years ago, New African Woman offers a unique opportunity for a career driven and highly motivated sales person to take ownership of our most modern and fast progressing title. Te successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue through advertising sales to meet and exceed targets and continuing to build on an existing client database. You will work exclusively on these 2 titles alongside other departments to develop innovative client strategies. Te candidate will attend networking conferences and events and will have the opportunity to travel to Africa, the USA and Europe on regular business meetings.
As the ideal candidate you will: • have extensive consumer sales experience, selling at a high level; • have experience in dealing and pitching to agencies and clients; • have excellent communication and presentation skills; • be persuasive, convincing and imaginative; • have experience in structuring and closing deals
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with spoken and written French and perhaps knowledge of the African markets (both would be an advantage but not a must). Te position is based in our London office. Only candidates with the right to work in the EU will be considered.
