VFW National Home for Children Executive Director Patrice Green could not contain her shock at the $20,000 check delivered to initiate fundraising for renovation of the campus’ Guest Lodge bathrooms. Members were urged to help reach a $150,000 goal to fund the remodeling. A PowerPoint presentation outlined improvements to the building and dubbed the project: “Extreme Makeover: National Home Edition.”
