a delegate. Advance registrations will not be accepted at National Headquarters after August 15, 2011.
7. National Bylaws, Sec. 806A, 2nd paragraph. “When an installation warrant is requested and said Auxiliary has failed to have the Office of Treasurer bonded and/or has failed to make quarterly audits complying with Section 814A of the National Bylaws, the Auxiliary shall be notified of such by the Department Secretary or Department Treasurer, respectively, and no installation warrant will be issued. All rights shall promptly be restored and the installation warrant issued promptly upon proper adjustment of such deficiencies.”
8. TRUSTEES, DUTIES OF: National Bylaws, Sec. 814: All audits are to be completed by the elected Trustees, with a minimum of two (2) in attendance. The President, Secretary and Treasurer should attend the audit. All pages attached to the record books shall be signed by the Trustees at time of the audit. A signed copy of the audit shall be forwarded to the Department Treasurer. A pro tem can be appointed to audit the books under extenuating circumstances.
9. Auxiliaries, remember to send your $2.00 or more per member for Cancer Aid & Research to your Department Treasurer. See Page 7 of the National Program Book awards. Members wishing to donate individually should give donations to their Auxiliary Treasurer.
10. If there is a military base in your area, don’t forget to visit and show your support. This is an ongoing program, not just a holiday program.
11. If you haven’t sent your donation of $.10 or more per member for the Health & Happiness/Christmas Cheer Fund, you can still do so. The National Home has continuing expenses for which

the Ladies Auxiliary is responsible. Auxiliaries donating $.25 or more per member are entitled to a citation. See Page 32 of the National Program Book for more information.
12. In light of the VFW’s position on the most recent endorsements by the VFW Political Action Committee, effective October 13, 2010, the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars is suspending all fundraising and promotion of VFW-PAC for the remainder of the year. Any monies raised for PAC up to this date should be forwarded immediately to PAC for those purposes in accordance with the laws concerning political action committees. Department Award No. 5 as seen in the 2010-2011 National Program Book on Page 20 is hereby suspended for the remainder of the year, and the program title will hereafter be known as Legislative.
13. Auxiliary and Department Treasurers are reminded to remit membership transmittals on a regular basis to ensure the timely processing of membership on all levels.
14. Auxiliaries and Districts are permitted to have only two (2) signatures on the Auxiliary bank account. The National Bylaws, Article VIII, Sections 810A and 810C, set forth that the President shall countersign all checks.
