LAMDA 150 CAMPAIGN: A DRAMATIC FUTURE

The standard of LAMDA’s teaching facilities must equal that of our exceptional faculty and the talented individuals we train. As such, the Academy is working towards transforming our Talgarth Road home into a dynamic drama school campus for the 21st

century.

Designed by Niall McLaughlin Architects, the redevelopment project includes a multi-purpose and fully accessible 250-seat theatre, as well as a new teaching block to replace the prefabricated studios that currently span the west end of the site.

Following the planning application approval in 2009, the Academy is delighted to have recently secured leading donations from several philanthropic individuals and trusts. These bring us a significant

step closer to achieving our vision of housing the entire Academy on one site.

By expanding and modernising LAMDA’s current facilities, the proposed redevelopment will eliminate the Academy’s ongoing need to hire additional rehearsal studios. It will also enable LAMDA to develop its existing programme of community outreach activities.

LAMDA’s Campaign team is currently focused on engaging with philanthropic individuals and trusts to raise further leading donations. If you would like to find out more about the Campaign or the building plans, please feel free to contact the Campaign team at lamda150@lamda.org.uk or +44 (0)20 8834 0534.

THE DEUTSCHE BANK AWARD IN DRAMATIC ARTS Anniversary Stage Management

For the past 18 years, Deutsche Bank has offered first-class business advice and financial support to arts students through its prestigious Deutsche Bank Awards; helping young artists to launch their professional careers in the first crucial year after graduation. This prestigious Award is open to all graduating students on LAMDA’s One, Two and Three Year Acting Courses, Two Year Stage Management & Technical Theatre Course and One Year Directors’ Course. The winning student, or group of students, benefits from a prize of £10,000 towards their innovative project, the invaluable advice of a Deutsche Bank Business Mentor for the year after they graduate and a professional business training course.
