Distributor & Supplier Focus dial stands up to turns
Providing instrumentation and test equipment design engineers with an economical device for precision rotary indication, TT electronics Bi technologies has developed an enhanced design for its analog turns counting dials. Designated theModel RB/RBMSeries, the 1 - 13/16" diameter turns counting dial has the capability to count up to 15 turns, and features superior turning tightnesswith an improved lockingmechanismtomeet the requirements for awide range of industrial automation and instrumentation applications. Each dial is individually packaged to prevent damage during shipment.
According to Richard Hsieh,Marketing Director for BI
Technologies Electronic Components Division, the redesigned turns counting dials provide customerswith improved performance aswell as shorter lead times. "With newtooling and an improved assembly process, our design engineerswere able to add these product enhancements and still deliverwithin four weeks at competitive pricing," he explained.
Turns counting dials are ideal for awide range of panel control
applications, including instrumentation, bench-top power supplies, medical electronics and industrial automation equipment.

High capacitance, small footprint
AvX Corp., amanufacturer of advanced passive components and interconnect solutions, has developed awet electrolytic tantalummodule that provides high capacitance values of up to 6,600uf at 25 volts, and up to 450uf at 125 rated volts, while saving board space. Developed using several of AVX's patented high capacitance cathode systemthat enables high CV designs beyond the values specified in theMil-PRF-39006 drawing, the TWMSerieswet electrolytic tantalummodule ismanufactured and tested to the 93026 specification, andwithstands the harsh shock and vibration requirements ofM39006. The TWMSeries wet electrolytic tantalummodule is ideal for output
filtering, battery holdup, and energy storage and delivery in harsh environment applications. The TWMfeatures an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The TWMSeriesmodules are available in a wide range of capacitance
and voltage. TWMSeriesmodules include 93026 case sizes T3 (D case, up to 100uf in 125VDC) through T4 (E case up to 150uf in 125VDC). AVX also offers customized capacitance and voltage packages. Please contact AVX about design possibilities beyond those contained in this document. Pricing typically starts at $200.00 each in volume for standard
capacitance and voltage packages, depending on the capacitance value, component size, and voltage rating, with a lead time of 10 weeks.
