What’s new: big style

It might be over 4,000 miles away but theMunich-based Electronica exhibition represents a bi-annual benchmark for the US electronics industry, offering suppliers the opportunity to present their latest products and services to a global audience. This frenzied activity is mirrored across Electronics Sourcing’s three titles, with the publication of our Electronica Special Issue bringing the total pages published in November to 272, each packed with valuable purchasing information.

Don’t imagine it stops there. Once the issues are printed and distributed,

the Electronics Sourcing team will be relocating toMunich to soak up the atmosphere, hunt down the stories behind the headlines and manage the Electronics Sourcing Live debates.

This year will be different as the editorial teamwill be accompanied by a

video news crew who will be recording the interviews between editors and suppliers. This is one of a number of initiatives designed to provide a new wealth of reader focussed value added services that will be underpinning the development of new digitalmedia outlets for the Electronics Sourcing portfolio.

With distance an obvious barrier to attending Electronica, our videos will

offer US-based purchasers the opportunity to explore highlights of the show as if they were there.

Sadly, I won’t be attending Electronica with the Electronics Sourcing team

as this is my last issue, prior to moving to a new editorial role. Being part of ESNA’s launch was a great experience and I want to thank our readers and advertisers for making this publication a success.
