Furthermore, ALPS ELECTRIC will start trial ship- ments this month of its new SCGC1B03 Series, an 8-pin SIM card connector to be used in mobile phones and car navigation systems. ALPS has develo- ped a series of SIM card type connectors with a mo- ving vehicle’s environment in mind. The SCGC1B03 Series is the industry’s first connector that automa- tically locks the card in when inserted to prevent accidental ejection. This unique auto-lock system has been vigorously tested to function properly against the vibration and impact that occur in a moving vehi- cle. To eject the card and release the auto-lock, the user simply pushes the card a second time. Canon has agreed to purchase approximately 125,917,996 shares at $0.3882 per share, providing $48.9 million in proceeds to fund the contemplated establishment of a lithium-titanate manufacturing facility in China and Altair‘s working capital requirements and opera- tions in the United States.
