A gunman robbed a restaurant of cash. CORCORAN ST. AND MOUNT OLIVET RD., 12:50 to 1:05 a.m. Sept. 12. A gunman in a vehicle robbed the male driver of cash and other property, then fled from the vehicle. GST., 1200 block, 10:27 to 10:28 p.m. Sept. 13. A male cyclist tried to rob a female pedestrian of a purse. GALLOWAY ST., 400 block, 11:35 to 11:45 p.m. Sept. 10. A gunman and a male accomplice assaulted and tried to rob a male pedestrian. SEXUAL ASSAULTS UNDERWOOD ST., midnight Aug. 1 to midnight Aug. 7. A male allegedly sexually assaulted a female relative in a residence. ROBBERIES CALVERT ST., 1900 block, 2:42 to 2:45 a.m. Sept. 11. Several males demanded property from a group of pedestrians and assaulted and robbed them. CALVERT ST., 2300 block, 3:20 a.m. Sept. 12. A motorist stopped his car because several occupants were arguing. All the occupants got out. A gunman and an accomplice then robbed the motorist. DUPONT CIR., 1-99 block, 10:30 to 11:10 p.m. Sept. 8. A motorist was driving near Dupont Circle when a group of males approached. The motorist was punched in the face and robbed of property. While the motorist was reporting the incident to a police officer in the area, a suspect walked by and was arrested. EUCLID ST., 1600 block, 1:30 to 1:31 a.m. Sept. 9. A gunman demanded property from a pedestrian, and he gave up cash. The robber then took cash and other property from the
pedestrian’s pockets. A wallet and a cellphone were returned to the pedestrian, and the gunman fled. GEORGIA AVE., 3100 block, 5 to 5:03 p.m. Sept. 13. A man entered a store and jumped over a counter, then assaulted a female employee. He took cash from a cash register and fled. GEORGIA AVE., 4300 block, 11:10 p.m. Sept. 12. A woman offered sex to a male pedestrian, who refused. She then robbed him of cash at gunpoint and left. GEORGIA AVE., 5000 block, 8:55 to 8:59 a.m. Sept. 9. A man approached a female as she was opening a front door of a store. He grabbed her arm and ordered her to take him to a safe. She then fell, and he fled the scene. GEORGIA AVE., 5000 block, 10:20 to 10:22 a.m. Sept. 13. A man approached a female while she stood in line at a grocery store and snatched her wallet from her pocket. He then fled. GEORGIA AVE., 5300 bock, 4 to 4:10 a.m. Sept. 11. A man and two accomplices approached a male pedestrian and demanded his wallet. He refused and fled. They chased him, and he was knocked unconscious. Property was taken from him, and they fled. KENNEDY ST., 300 block, 8:30 to 8:32 p.m. Sept. 13. A male pedestrian was hit in the face by a person, and he fell. Two others then assaulted him and took property. LAMONT ST.,1200 block, 10:05 p.m. Sept. 13. A male pedestrian was robbed at gunpoint by three males. LANIER PL., 1700 block, 3:10 to 3:12 p.m. Sept. 14. A woman entered a convenience store and placed a bag and a note demanding cash on the front counter. The note also indicated there were two gunmen outside the store. An employee did not comply, and she left. NORTH CAPITOL ST. AND HANOVER PL., 7:45 a.m. Sept. 9. A man reached inside an occupied vehicle and tried to snatch a purse from a seat. A female occupant grabbed the purse and was assaulted. He fled. Nothing was reported taken. VERMONT AVE., 1000 block, 6:24 to 6:25 a.m. Sept. 11. A male tried to sell a cellphone at a business. A person refused to buy and asked him to leave. The male then tried to forcibly open a door, and he and a female accomplice assaulted the person. He then stabbed the person’s shoulder and took property. The robbers then fled. WYOMING AVE., 2100 block, 2:29 a.m. Sept. 11. A group of pedestrians was robbed at gunpoint by three men. FIRST AND Q STREETS, 12:30 p.m. Sept. 11. A male pedestrian was assaulted and robbed by two males. A backpack and a wallet were taken. THIRD ST., 6500 block, 8 to 8:10 p.m. Sept. 8. A male youth asked a
pedestrian a question, and two other males assaulted and robbed the person. NINTH ST., 2000 block, 4:03 p.m. Sept. 10. A gunman entered a restaurant and took property. NINTH ST., 5500 block, 12:11 p.m. Sept. 11. A male parked his car at the entrance of an alley. A male youth entered the vehicle, and the male tried to confront him. The youth and another male assaulted him. A package and a wallet were taken. 11TH AND P STREETS, 1:45 to 1:47 a.m. Sept. 10. A male with a toy gun approached two people and demanded money. He then dropped the toy, and an accomplice of his assaulted them. Property was taken. 13TH ST., 1200 block, 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. Sept. 10. A male youth placed a sharp object against a male pedestrian’s back and demanded property. The pedestrian gave up a wallet and a cellphone. The robber broke the cellphone and returned it to the pedestrian before fleeing. 14TH AND KENYON STREETS, 1:40 to 1:42 a.m. Sept. 9. A gunman and an accomplice approached two male pedestrians. One pedestrian was assaulted, and the other was robbed of a wallet. 18TH ST., 2400 block, 9:27 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 14. A man in a restaurant snatched cash from an employee after the employee had taken it out of a cash register. 19TH ST., 1600 block, 4 to 4:01 a.m. Sept. 11. A male was assaulted and robbed by a group of males. A wallet and a cellphone were taken. 20TH ST., 1600 block, 10 to 10:01 p.m. Sept. 10. A man snatched a cellphone from an occupied table at a restaurant. .
28TH AND M STREETS, 8:35 to 8:37 p.m. Sept. 11. A man approached a male pedestrian from behind and snatched property from his hands. The pedestrian chased the robber, who gave the property to a male accomplice. The robbers fled. THEFTS/BREAK-INS ADAMS MILL RD., 3100 block, 6 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13. A bicycle was stolen from an unlocked porch of a residence. BRANDYWINE ST., 4400 block, 6:05 to 6:10 p.m. Sept. 13. A male destroyed a female acquaintance’s property in a residence after reading something in her journal. He left in his car. An arrest was made. CAROLINA PL., 5300 block, 3:30 to 3:40 a.m. Sept. 14. An intruder entered a residence after removing a screen of an unlocked window and took property. CATHEDRAL AVE., 5400 block, 10 p.m. Sept. 13 to 7:15 a.m. Sept. 14. Property was stolen from a detached office of a residence. The office was entered through an unlocked window.
