Draft Environmental Assessment HHS Lease Consolidation in Suburban Maryland


Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act,as amended (NEPA) (42 US.C. 4321, et seq.), and the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations for Implementing the Procedural Provisions of NEPA (40 CFR parts 1500-1508), the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has prepared a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) to examine the environmental impacts of the proposed consolidation of four leases throughout suburban Maryland into one leased facility for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in Prince George’s or Montgomery Counties. The Draft EA analyzes the impacts of a range of alternatives on the natural and man-made environment.


The Draft EA is being made available to the public for review. Comments are due no later than October 25, 2010.
