Kilpatrick Stockton adds patent team
Dodson moves to Squire Sanders from Goodwin Procter LLP, where he was a patent litigator responsible for the University of California’s patent infringement case against Genentech, which was settled for $200 million.

Before joining Squire Sanders, Schneider established and owned her own firm. She has also been a partner at both Lyon & Lyon LLP and Irell & Manella LLP.
Joshua Puvak Martin Cosenza Mark Kupets
A team of patent attorneys has leſt Connolly, Bove, Lodge & Hutz LLP to join Kilpatrick Stockton LLP in its Washington, DC office, the firm announced in August.
Michael Verga arrives as a partner and Charles Chesney joins as counsel. Associates Joshua Puvak, Martin Cosenza and Mark Kupets also move. Te additions boost the intellectual asset acquisition and transactions team in the intellectual property department at Kilpatrick Stockton.

Kaye Scholer adds three in Silicon Valley
Barbara Caulfield, Michael J. Malecek and Peter Root have joined Kaye Scholer LLP, the firm announced in July.
Barbara Caulfield
Tey will work in the firm’s Menlo Park office as partners,
forming part of its intellectual property practice. Prior to joining Kaye Scholer, Caulfield, Malecek and Root were partners at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP.
Caulfield was the managing partner of Dewey & LeBoeuf ’s Silicon Valley office. She practices intellectual property litigation for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. She was previously executive vice president and general counsel at Affymetrix, a biotechnology company.
Malecek also worked at Affymetrix as the chief advocacy counsel.
