National awareness of Malaria has risen since Cheryl Cole contracted the disease after holidaying in Tanzania recently. She took ill even after apparently taking malaria pills – the truth is that although malaria tablets are 99 per cent effective, it is important to further reduce the risk by taking additional precautions. Not surprisingly therefore, the World Health Organisation (WHO) stated it was the best choice of insect repellent for protection against malaria, thanks to its combination of efficiency, safety and cosmetic characteristics. The new Platypus Origin Hydration Packs debuted in Europe at the July 2010 OutDoor Trade Fair and in North America at the August 2010 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. The collection is available in stores January 2011.
