Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA Clinical Research Coordinator, Summer 2009 Worked with Dr. Laura Balcer (Professor of Neurology) at HUP on a project entitled “Contributions of Visual Symptoms to Overall Health- Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) and Economic Status in Multiple Sclerosis.” The objective of the study was to esti- mate the overall economic impact that MS patients endure as a result of the visual symptoms they experience. Research tools utilized for this study included vocational status surveys and ocular imaging, via optical coherence tomography (OCT).


Florida Hospital Cancer Research Institute, Orlando, FL Lab Researcher, 2003


Researched, structured, and developed a method to prepare/characterize platelet microparticles (PMPs) by flow cytometry. Collaborated and led team of researchers to examine the effects of PMPs on cellular adhesion and proliferation. Collected, evaluated, and analyzed data for report to principal investigator. Designed and prepared a research poster for presen- tation at the International Society on Haemostasis and Thrombosis (ISTH).
