UK CHARITY GamesAid can help improve the perception of the entire games industry, says trustee Ian Livingstone. His claim comes as the UK organisation opens nominations for new charities. He told MCV: “We need to raise a lot more money, give it





the general public to be more generous towards the industry – and its charity.”


GamesAid supports small UK-based charities focused on children and young adults. Nominations for new charities are now open for anyone in the industry to make.

TELEVISION A campaign has already kicked off with a series of creatives tailored for different audiences and showcasing all the various features of the game. The campaign will deliver almost 1,200 TVRs over seven


weeks pre- and post-launch. Nintendo is also executing a takeover of all the Turner children’s channels. This will consist of a range of competition spots, idents and an online presence.

Online display advertising has already started on all major gaming, retail and kids’ websites. The trailer is also available on YouTube.


INSTORE Nintendo is supporting Dragon Quest IXwith a wealth of POS materials, such as cubes and standees.

turnover of less than £5m, and should spend no higher than 30 per cent of this on administration costs. In certain cases GamesAid will do its


best to see if a nominated charity can be put through to the voting stage.
