CELEBRATE SUMMER IN STYLE

When you think of summer, what would be your ultimate pleasure? A picnic in the park? A day at the beach? A BBQ with friends or a drive in a Mercedes-Benz SLK?

Many motorists would agree that there is no better feeling than driving an open-top sports car with the sun on your face and the wind in your hair on a beautiful summer’s day. And what better vehicle to enjoy this experience in than one of the most desirable sports cars in the world: the Mercedes- Benz SLK?

Leading the way in technology, the original Mercedes-Benz SLK was launched in 1996, and was the first two-seater sports car with a folding metal hard-top. The idea was an instant success and gave birth to a new generation of coupé-cabriolets (CCs).

Today, the SLK has taken its styling cues from its big brother the SL, and features a more ergonomically designed exterior, roomier interior space and trimmed leather seats.

It can be transformed at the touch of a button, from a hard-top coupé to an open convertible in 25 seconds, and offers four different engine outputs to suit all tastes. The 1.8 litre 163bhp, entry-level SLK 200 Kompressor; 3.0 litre 231bhp SLK 280; 272bhp SLK 350 and the range-topping 5.5 litre AMG version, whose 360bhp gets you 0 - 60 in less than five seconds.

Furthermore, to make open-top driving even more pleasurable, the Mercedes-Benz SLK includes the optional AIRSCARF®, which is integrated into the backrests of the front seats and provides a flow of warm air through the head restraints so that passengers can enjoy neck-level heating, regardless of their height.

The SLK is available from £339 per month at 5.8% APR, from: Mercedes-Benz Manchester Central, Ashton New Road, Manchester, M11 3RR.
