ANXIETY UK MARKS 40 YEARS OF SUPPORT IN STYLE

AnxietyUK 40thAnniversary Celebration!

The night of Friday 4th June saw Anxiety UK, the country’s leading anxiety charity, celebrate it’s 40th birthday in style at Manchester’s glitzy 5* Lowry Hotel.

A mixture of local businesses, charities, health care professionals and Anxiety UK members and volunteers came together to help Anxiety UK mark it’s Ruby anniversary in style with a night of fine food, live music and comedy, all in the surroundings of the Lowry’s luxurious grand banquet hall.

The event culminated with a charity auction, in which guests were invited to bid on prizes that included a signed Manchester United shirt, a weekend spa retreat for two in Yorkshire and a room for two at the Lowry itself.

Overall Anxiety UK raised over £5000 on the night, however this evening was not solely a charity fundraiser, but instead about honouring the hard work that Anxiety UK has done over the past 40 years.

“Reaching 40 years is a stellar achievement and it is a real privilege for me to take part in this”, commented Anxiety UK CEO Nicky Lidbetter, “Since 1970 this charity has been involved in helping some half a million people with their anxieties and phobias and I feel it was only right to mark this momentous occasion.”
