MEAD project offers help to migrant groups
to act as a forum where members and visitors can share information, photos and articles relevant to Scots and Poles. the website is still under
development but within a few weeks, more material will be added including a facility which will allow visitors to join the association online. the website is not designed as
a business venture and any funds raised through membership of the association will be used to cover running costs and to promote the interests of Scotland and Poland in different ways. Full of enthusiasm for the
new venture, Paul Gogolinski looks ahead to the many ties between Poland and Scotland becoming even more celebrated. “We want to pull together all
the different elements,” he says, “starting off with the historical links and bringing in culture, education and business – creating a network of networks and really pulling together Scotland and Poland.”
A NEW project has been launched this month to help members of the Polish community and other migrant and ethnic groups make the most of the opportunities open to them in Scotland. The MEAD Project in Perth
and Kinross aims to give the growing migrant population the support they need to play a full and active role in their communities. MEAD will also help the
