Libraries open for business
tWo Polish-Scottish libraries
opened in Scotland last month – coincidentally on the same day. inverness Polish association
invited Conservative Party election candidate Jim Ferguson to perform the official opening at the offices of the association at 37a Union Street, albyn House on May 1. the library will be open to
all members of the public on Monday evenings from 6pm-10pm. Meanwhile, the Polish
association of aberdeen were having an opening ceremony of their own after generous funding from the Big lottery Fund Scotland enabled them to unveil a very well stocked library. the national library in
Warsaw donated more than 100 books, which has been boosted by a donation of more than 200 books from the local Polish community. a number of book stores in
london and Glasgow have also agreed to supply the library with free books on a regular basis. aberdeen association
