itsubishi Electric Corporation (TOKYO SE: 6503) has completed installation of a
Diamond Vision large-scale LED display system at KKWING in Kumamoto City, Japan. The new 600- inch screen replaced the previous electric discharge tube screen installed 10 years ago, providing brighter and higher resolution live videos for the visitors of the Kumamoto Prefecture‘s multiple-use athletics stadium and also one of the main home stadiums for the J2 soccer team Roasso Kumamoto.
Incorporating high-luminance light-emitting diodes (LEDs) aligned vertically and horizontally in a 12.5-millimeter dot pitch and the latest digital screen controllers, the new 13.2 meter × 7.6 meter screen

anoH2O, a global provider of membranes for
desalination and water reuse, has been awar-
ded a $400,000 grant from the U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR) to evaluate its high-flux membranes for ship- board desalination systems. Tests con- ducted by ONR at the U.S. Navy Seawater Desalination Test Facility at Port Hueneme in Califor- nia will accelerate NanoH2
O’s research into fouling
resistance as well as the optimization of desalination systems for high-flux operations. This research will also provide a benchmark for comparing NanoH2
breakthrough technology to existing reverse osmosis (RO) membranes.
“NanoH2O’s ultimate objective is to alter the fun- damental economics of commercial desalination by
