ensors UK Ltd are pleased to announce the introduction of latest model in the Dimetix range of

laser distance sensors. The NEW LOW COST EDS-C units makes it possible to measure distances with millimeter precision, within a range of 0.05 to 30 meters at an affordable price. It is simple, flexible and measures without contact. Thanks to the most modern laser-techniques, distances, even to small objects, can be measured without contact. This is especially important when measuring in areas where access is limited, or exposed to extreme temperature conditions. The EDS-C units offer accuracy up to 3.0mm independent of measuring ranges and gives either a programmable 4~20mA output. The units require a 24V DC power supply and has a rugged metal IP65 rated housing for extreme conditions. Applications for these sensors are extremely varied from filling levels in silos, crane positioning, web tension monitoring etc.

of media. The sensor uses a proprietary sol-gel coating that is embedded with an oxygen indicator and can be applied to patches or probes. Patches are useful for measuring headspace gases and other parameters inside packages and containers; probe options range from slender, 300 µm-diameter fibre assemblies for fine spatial resolution applications to robust, - inch OD stainless steel configurations for process environments. Coating formulations are available for general lab use, high-sensitivity applications and hydrocarbon-rich sample environments. Comprised of a probe- or patch-based oxygen sensor, plus a phase fluorometer, the NeoFox Sport fluorescence-based optical oxygen system includes an onboard microprocessor with low-power OLED display, a user interface and a battery pack.

BM has developed its latest GEN2i data recorder for the demands of maintaining, servicing and

commissioning industrial devices by ensuring it has compact dimensions and is simple to operate. The GEN2i is available with four, eight or sixteen input channels to give maximum flexibility for demanding measurement tasks. The palette of input amplifiers ranges from insulated types with 200 kS/s per channel via bridge and IEPE modules up to fast racks with 100 MS/s that are suitable for fault-tracing in electric systems or transient data acquisition during ballistic tests. The measurement data can be written directly onto

the integrated semi-conductor hard drive (Solid State Disk) at up to 20 MB/S or temporarily stored at far higher rates in the RAM of the measuring cards.

he electrical enclosure ranges include more than 100 size combinations, moulded from high-

performance polycarbonate and ABS materials. Options for the ranges include opaque or smoked transparent lids and solid-wall or integral knockouts for cable glands. Many of the enclosures provide ingress protection to IP67 and impact protection to IK08, and are rated for temperatures up to 120C. Available alongside the enclosures are various ranges of accessories, including internal mounting plates, hinges, wall-mounting screws, flexible conduit, cable glands, diaphragm gland plates and pressure balance plugs. The ventilation-plug ranges cover sizes from M12 to M20, provide an IP69K- rated seal and are available in nylon and aluminium.

Reduce installation time and costs

B

with Balluff’s new V-Twin™ Magnetic Field Sensor

alluff has expanded its magnetic field sensor portfolio with the new V-Twin - two sensors, one connector. This revolutionary low profile design

allows the user to reduce installation time and cost by requiring only one four conductor cable with either M8 or M12 connections for two end of stroke sensors. Because the BMF V-Twin has just one connection for two sensors, it is ideal for detecting multiple positions on pneumatic grippers and cylinders and doubling the number of sensors in a multiple interface box. The new BMF V-Twin is available in several sizes and form factors to cover applications from grippers and short stroke cylinders to C- Slot, T-Slot round and tie rod cylinders, in some cases without requiring additional mounting brackets. Weld field immune versions are also available. The Balluff V-Twin magnetic field sensors use magneto-resistive technology to detect the piston magnet through the aluminium wall of the cylinder.

Greener, quieter

machines with the new GA type fan

and power consumption for greener, quieter machines. They are available in the UK only from EAO Ltd – the experts for thermal control solutions. The 92GA (92 x 25mm deep) delivers a mighty 77.7 CFM (2.2 m3/min) at a static pressure of 105 Pa. A new design of frame, blades, motor and circuits enables it to produce up to 25% more airflow than the previous model. They are quieter and more energy efficient too. Thanks to an improved motor efficiency and design circuit, they consume 17% less power and produce 3dB(A) less noise at the same airflow conditions. The GA type fan is also available in a 40 x 28mm frame size, either 12 or 24 VDC. They are all fitted with pulse sensors and PWM speed-control function as standard. As with all Sanyo Denki fans, these are high-reliability, dual ball-bearing products and are guaranteed for a minimum 60,000 hours (tested at 60oC with a survival rate of 90%). IT and telecommunications devices such as servers, storage, power supplies, PC, and other applications will be cooled more effectively using Sanyo Denki GA fans.
