The FSB Speedminton®
British Open 2009
For the last three summers Concrete Leisure have been
successfully promoting the new racket sports Speed Badminton.

With over 100 schools now playing the sport, the sport is growing
quickly to become the new hype in schoolyards and parks.
Most of the existing Speedminton Clubs meet in Tennis Centres,
where they convert one tennis court into two speedminton courts.
After the very successful European Championships last year in
Liverpool with 13 nations competing, Concrete Leisure is now
hosting the first British Open.
The organisers Andrew Low and Ralf Ganza expect quite a few
players from the European partner nations to return to Liverpool
for this years UK tournament, to compete against the British
Players.
On the 26th of September the tournament will take place in the
prestigious Wavertree Tennis Centre, all players are welcome to
join and the event is free for spectators.
Water is freely available for all athletes and one meal is included
in the entry fee.
