A very happy New Year to you all.
Throughout 2009, Bartercard successfully hosted many trade shows providing members with beneficial purchasing
opportunities throughout the UK. We will proudly continue these throughout 2010 and have already scheduled trade
events; in particular our trade show events which will offer everyone the opportunity to meet with respective brokerages
and fellow members alike. April and May will see the first of our bi-annual trade events held throughout all regions, which
will be offering exciting products only available at these trade shows. So be sure to book your place or diarise these as
soon as the dates are released.
This edition of the Barter Bulletin focuses on the all important relationship between Bartercard Trade Coordinators and
their members, including member expectations. The most important piece of advice we can pass to our members is to
ensure they allow their Trade Coordinator to contact them at least once a month by way of a Service Call to discuss sales
and purchasing requirements; member updates; exciting new trading opportunities and indeed any other queries a
member may have. We consider this contact to be vital in providing the basis for not only building a very important
relationship, but also to potentially save your business money.
Our commitment to our members is that Bartercard UK will strive to raise awareness through our excellent PR which
continues to gather momentum in the press and throughout the UK business community. As banks continue to resist any
level of true business support to the SME market, Bartercard will continue to support members and offer financial reviews
by way of new or extended credit lines; millions are available..... Bartercard are here to listen and help.
Finally, we are very excited to run a recognition program for members to acknowledge other members who provide
excellent service. “No such thing as a free lunch”...well at Bartercard there is! From 1st February, we will be awarding
TWO free lunches per month to members who, in the opinion of other members, have delivered outstanding service and
quality. This award will be region by region based and your participation will ensure great service and quality are
recognised. Thank you for participating.
