These two DVDs are about motorboat handling so why are
they ina Multihull magazine! Well most multihulls have two
engines – like most motorboats, most multihulls have a bit of
windage and shallow draft – like most motorboats. For those
reasons these DVDs give some very good tuition and tips on
how to manage close quarter manoeuvring under power.
Handling large boats in close proximity to other boats can be
a worrying task, add in contrary wind and tide and the task is

a lot more complicated and nerve wracking! These two DVDs
are clearly presented by Jon Mendes, do not rush the viewer,
Sea Chronicles
are presented in easily digestible chunks and each chunks
follows the format – introduce topic, demonstrate, review.
The DVDs are excellent and aimed at those new to boat
This is a great DVD that in a very interesting way tells the handling and at those who are moving up to a larger boat.

told the story. They never get too technical and just give
enough information to whet the appetite for more.
This DVD will give any family a feel for what cruising long
distances is like, the pressure on the boat and crew,
the need to allow for the weather and to comply with all
necessary formalities. It also gives a taste for the enduring
spirit of people who live in or on the edge of poverty
everyday but do so with smiles and humour
It is also inspiring and make you want to get out there and
do it!!
