This book is aimed at any outdoor
enthusiast giving them the tools to assess
the chances of being caught out in a
storm and judge how severe that storm
might be. The book explains how strong
winds build, how thunder and hailstones
are formed and what causes hurricanes,
tornadoes, typhoons and waterspouts.
It is an interesting read and a useful
aide memoire for anyone whose sport
is outdoor and where the extremes of
weather might be encountered.

Having cruised this area over many years it is not a straightforward patch
