PLAY OF THE GAME
9:30 | FIrst Half... Elliot Williams poked the ball
away from a St. John’s player and Lance Thomas
secured the loose ball. Elliot then sprinted
down court and LT heaved a three-quarter court
pass while falling down. Elliot caught the pass
and converted a layup, earning the No. 3 rank on
SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays of the Day.
“One of my goals was just to be solid, to get the
veterans the ball, and when I had it, make a
sharp move, be athletic out there and just fin-
ish plays. I just want to be a defensive stopper
out there. It was nice. I was starting for Duke
as a freshman at Madison Square Garden. I just
wanted to come out with a win.”
