Phase 2 of the project will in-

sports teams. SJSU is one of only nine programs to have won both an NCAA Division I Men’s Champion- ship (1948) and NCAA Division I Women’s Championship (1987, 1989 and 1992). The Spartans were the fi rst school to win three NCAA Women’s titles. Professionally, San Jose State
alumni include Ken Venturi, Juli Inkster, Pat Hurst, Patty Sheehan and Aaron Oberholser.
