es in caelis . . .”) raised goosebumps on my arms. Ten years later, I was an American sailor serving aboard the 7th Fleet Flagship USS Saint Paul (CA-73), steaming throughout all of Southeast Asia. Of course, I couldn’t understand
each local priest’s homily, but in every case, I prayed the Latin Mass along with everybody else in each church — the same as back in New Jersey. Celebrating a uniform Latin Mass globally confi rms the true universality of the church. Pope Leo needs to restore it. (“After Francis, the Next Pope,” April)

TOO MANY DEMOCRATS Why does Newsmax insist on constantly talking about Democrats and all their screaming criticism of Donald Trump? Please focus on all the positive things going on in our government with conservatives now at the helm. I can watch other networks if I want to hear from negative, big-mouth Democrats. Stick with intelligence and positivity. Please. bev zimmerman Florence, Ariz.
DOMESTIC TERROR The news media needs to start asking their Democrat guests what they’re
going to personally do as members of Congress to take full responsibility for terrorist cells because they allowed unvetted immigrants into the United States. Don’t give Congress a pass without taking the blame. What are they going to do to get such cells, and persons, out of America? (“Students From Elite China College Sent to Spy in U.S.,” July)
sharon sands Jackson, Tenn.
DOUBLE STANDARD Why are illegal immigrant criminals allowed “due process” when the Jan. 6, 2021, participants went to prison and never received due process? peggy haley Channelview, Texas
TAX IVIES It’s about time elite universities like Harvard and Yale paid their fair share (“Elite Schools Face Big, New Taxes on Their Endowments,” July). These so-called nonprofi t institutions are sitting on billions while pumping out entitled activists instead of educated citizens. Trump’s move to end their sweetheart tax status is long overdue. Working families shouldn’t be subsidizing non-academic indulgences and bloated DEI departments. brett mcneil Billings, Mont.
