CHINA A MAJOR THREAT TO U.S. Fred Fleitz is one of the few who truly understands how serious a problem China poses for the U.S. (“The China Threat,” June) He writes: “China’s hostile behavior and ruthless eff orts to displace the United States as the world’s leading power make China an American adversary.” Biden administration offi cials do not understand this. China remains a very strong, dominant threat until we vote for a stronger commander in chief who will lead Congress to act against this menace. As Fleitz observes: “Only a new president can restore global U.S. authority.”

STOP IN-FIGHTING The GOP has reached a point where primary “competition” is counterproductive. We can no longer aff ord to fi ght amongst ourselves, in essence doing the job of the media, destroying good Republican candidates. The traditional primary process doesn’t work anymore — especially when your real opponents are Democrats who have weaponized everything and everybody in an eff ort to destroy the GOP. Every morning we wake up to news of another Biden attack on “something,” always blaming “MAGA Republicans,” in essence calling us a cult. Our job needs to be pointing out each and every policy, decision, or ban that Biden comes up with and publicly pound them home daily. If we don’t unify, Biden will be reelected or some other puppet will be put in his place, spitting in the eye of decent Americans. (“Arizona Republicans ‘Wandering in Wilderness,’” April)

ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVES Thanks to Dr. Laura, Ben Stein, Bill O’Reilly, and others, Newsmax’s viewpoint is quite clear: If you can’t pull up your sleeves and work, take responsibility, and stop blaming others, then shut up and/or leave America. Try another country on for size; see if that helps your ingratitude. Keep up the great work, Newsmax, refusing

to advocate for sloth, but rather do so for good old-fashioned tried-and-true American ethics and values. In other words, those things the left can never appreciate. (“Celebrating the Miracle of Opportunity for All,” June) mildred restoyen Phoenix, Ariz.

ROYAL STABILITY Those who dismiss royal coronations, like that of King Charles III, as old- fashioned and outdated are ridiculing something long missing from many countries: stability. Sure, like any other family, the British royals are imperfect, but mostly they bring dignity and class to our world. (“A King Is Born,” May)

I can’t believe Newsmax would dedicate a front cover and 12 pages to England’s stupidity in crowning a “king” as head of state. Feudalism by democratic countries should have disappeared decades, if not centuries, ago. It should most certainly not be honored in this country. richard browning Pacifi c, Mo.

DON’T ‘DIS’ VEGANS My Newsmax favorites are Greta Van Susteren and Rob Schmitt. They are great hosts, with superb guests. But, I wish that your hosts, and others, would not “dis” vegans or veganism. As a

longtime vegan, I did not become vegan for business or for so-called climate change, but rather for my Judeo- Christian values. (Think, “Thou shall not kill.”) If businesses want to cater to the burgeoning growth of veganism, so what? (“Health Insider,” April) jeanne minier Smyrna, Ga.

FOX CAN’T BE TRUSTED Since Fox News fi red Tucker Carlson, I’ve switched to Newsmax. After 25 years I can’t trust Fox to be “fair and balanced.” (“Tucker Carlson’s Firing Was Shot Aimed at Trump,” June) julia chapman Magalia, Calif.

OUT OF GAS President Joe Biden and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul need to fi nd something productive to do with their lives. We’ve heard about crazy Kathy’s insane plan to ban gas stoves in the Empire State; now “Sleepy Joe” wants to eliminate gas-powered cars. The last time I checked, the fossil fuels and natural gas industries provide many jobs for Americans. And, I’ve never seen pols shy away from the tax revenues both provide. This tells me that Hochul and Biden should devote their workdays to reducing reckless government spending, cutting taxes, and genuinely educating our children
