Inside Out
Bute Park, Cardiff, Sun 1 May
What better way to celebrate the bank holiday than by heading to Cardiff’s Bute Park for a lineup that’s truly stacked with some of the big names across dance, drum and bass, grime, garage and more?
For 2022, Inside Out are bringing out Kurupt FM of BBC Three mockumentary People Just Do Noth- ing, much-loved actor and DJ Idris Elba, who’s headlining the House Stage, and drum’n’bass pio- neer Andy C. Also on the Main Stage are rappers Tion Wayne and M1llionz, d’n’b star Kanine, and YouTuber and singer Yung Filly.
Joining Elba on the House Stage will be special guest Jackmaster, along with the likes of Fleur Shore, SOSA and Jamie Roy. Meanwhile, over on the drum’n’bass-heavy Pullup Stage, A.M.C and Voltage headline. And with over 60 artists on the bill, there’s plenty of choice – you might find a new favourite artist among the lineup.
The festival is a one-day event, with the site open- ing at midday and closing at 11pm, but for those who don’t feel like travelling back straight after, there are various accommodation options nearby – Bute Park is extremely close to the city centre. There’s no parking on site, but there are car parks nearby, and it’s less than a 20-minute walk from Cardiff Central station.
