Sky Atlantic and HBO show, Chernobyl, won the 2020 Televisual Bulldog Best In Show award after it swept the board across Best Drama Serial, Best Music, Best VFX and Best Cinematography


In the 2020 Televisual Bulldog Awards, one show in particular captured the imagination of its industry peers above all others. Televisual’s readers voted in their droves for Chernobyl, Sky Atlantic and HBO’s mini series that dramatized the events of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster and the desperate and heroic attempts to halt a worldwide catastrophe that followed.


It was a winner in the Bulldogs’ drama one-off or serial category by a country mile and then went on to pick up the readers’ votes in a number of other craft categories, with voters naming it their favourite piece of work in the VFX, Music and Cinematography Awards too. The show has so far picked up an astonishing number of awards in the time since its first broadcast. It has won at the Baftas, the Golden Globes, the


Primetime Emmys, the Critics’ Choice Awards and the RTS Awards both in best drama categories and best performance categories for its stars Jared Harris, Emily Watson and Stellan Skarsgård.


It has swept the board in the international craft award ceremonies too with wins from American Cinema Editors, the Art Directors Guild Awards, the Association of Motion Picture Sound Awards, the
