New innovation in sample tube marking and diagnostics kit manufacture

B

rooks Life Sciences produces a steady stream of innovative sample manage- ment solutions, the latest products

are within the Sample Consumables & Instruments solutions: The IntelliXmark™ HT and the a4SRA Automatic Random Access Roll Heat Sealer.

Introducing: IntelliXmark™ HT It is often necessary to add supplementary information to sample storage tubes, this could be for patient IDs, sample collection information, custom barcoding and more. Adding this information manually with either adhesive labels or hand-written labelling could cause sample loss due to lost or damaged labels, meaning that valu- able samples are at risk. The IntelliXmark offers automated, flex-

ible, durable marking for sample storage tubes. Designed with flexibility and ease of use in mind, the IntelliXmark HT is an automated platform capable of permanent- ly marking a wide range of sample tubes with supplementary information such as batch ID, collection site information or even custom graphics or barcodes. This mit- igates the risks associated with adhesive or hand-written labels, protecting the sample. Supporting flexibility in labware, the

unit features interchangeable rack nests and tube-picking heads, as well as an inte- grated 2D code reader and linear barcode

verifier that ensure the right information is printed on the right tube. Through simple connectivity, SiLA and LIMS compatibility the IntelliXmark HT is ideal for high throughput applications that require durable marking for sample tubes.

Introducing: a4SRA Automatic Random Access Roll Heat Sealer Many workflows including diagnostic kit manufacturers, oligo production, synthetic biology, antibody extraction and sample storage, face bottlenecks when it comes to producing in large volume but needing to ship individual products. The a4SRA is an automated roll heat

sealer capable of sealing individual wells or tubes, enabling researchers to leverage the benefits of the 4titude Random Access range while maintaining the gold standard heat sealing provided by the 4titude a4S. Combining the benefits of a wider group

of solutions in the random access range that utilise a plate with individually remov- able wells, together with seals consisting of separate foil seal spots. This arrangement allows researchers to access individual wells by taking one at a time with coded and non-coded options. The a4SRA Automatic Random Access

Roll Heat Sealer is efficient and easy to use including a rapid heating time, auto stand- by mode and intuitive touch screen while supporting a great amount of flexibility with customisable settings, broad seal type compatibility and ability to seal custom shapes and seals. These two new solutions will be show-

cased at SLAS 2020 in San Diego, along- side Brooks Life Sciences broader solutions including; Automated Storage Solutions, Cryopreservation & Cold Chain Solutions, Informatics & Technical Solutions, Sample Storage, Lab Services & Transport and Sample Consumables & Instruments.
