THE 24th Robin Hood Championship, comprising eight classes, will be held on the 13th May 2018 at the Nottinghamshire County Show at the Newark Showground, Winthorpe, Newark. More and more young
butchers / bakers and apprentices are entering evaluations and competitions and demonstrating that they have the skills and ideas to compete with their peers. To encourage this, the committee of the Nottinghamshire Council of Retail Meat Traders have decided to award a Perpetual
Trophy for the ‘Young Butcher / Baker or Apprentice’ aged twenty three years or younger on the day of the ‘Championship’. To accompany the award
Te School of Artisan Food at Welbeck Estate, Worksop will donate a complimentary day on a butchery or bakery course. Te organisers urge
independent butchers and businesses to encourage and support youngsters to pit their skills in the Robin Hood Championship. Tey are aſter all, the future of the butchery / bakery profession. *Te judging of the best ‘Young Butcher/ Baker –
