Treble triumph for Llanmoor at the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards


LLANMOOR HOMES is delighted to announce that three of its site managers have been awarded highly prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards for 2017. Mark Tomas, Site Manager at Llanmoor’s Waterloo Gardens development in Newport, Dale Dickenson, Site Manager at Padfield Court in Tonyrefail, and Dave Vincent, Site Manager at Bryn Meurig in Llanharry, were all recognised for their exceptional work for the family-run housebuilder. Running for 37 years, Pride in the Job is the housebuilding industry’s most distinguished awards programme dedicated to recognising the site managers who achieve the highest standards in housebuilding. Monmouth housebuilder sponsors and enters raſts into 2017 River Wye charity fund raising event


HOUSEBUILDER Barratt David Wilson Homes BDW South Wales is not just sponsoring the Monmouth Raſt Race 2017 but have entered five raſts into the challenging event. Te firm, which is building new homes at Kingswood Gate, Monmouth, who put their toe in the water last year will have as many as thirty of their people on the water this time. Steve Williams, Managing Director of BDW Homes South Wales, said: “As a business we are working locally and it is nice to help support a local charity and put something back into the community. “We are aware of the work that St David’s Hospice Care do with cancer patients and those other life limiting conditions and as a cancer seems to touch everyone in some way or another we are very keen to support this event. “Te Monmouth Raſt Race is a challenging event and also very good fun when entered into in the right spirit and enjoyable to take part in and raise money for a worthy charity. “We will have five raſts in the event this year which, with an average of six people per raſt means we’ll have probably thirty people in total on the river. “We had a brilliant time last year. It was also a good team building event, not just for the staff at BDW South Wales but with family members and friends joining us on the day, to cheer us along and then enjoying a get together in the marquee to enjoy food and refreshments aſterwards.” Organisers, Monmouth Rotary Club who have staged the annual River Wye Raſt race for the past 15 years will once more raise funds for St David’s Hospice Care through its staging of the 52nd Monmouth Raſt Race. Te 2017 Monmouth Raſt Race, organised by Monmouth Rotary Club, will take place on Sunday, September 3, starting from Monmouth Rowing Club and ending at Tump Farm, Whitebrook. Te annual event sees teams of four or more build raſts and then paddle them 6.5 miles down the River Wye from the rowing club steps at Monmouth to Whitebrook. Entry costs £75 per raſt including a commitment to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.
