The next phase of a major development off the M4 in Cardiff has been launched.

Persimmon Homes is building more than 1,000 properties at its St Edeyrn’s Village scheme on land between the M4 and the A48, close to Cardiff Gate Business Park. The development can be seen growing by the day as motorists drive into Cardiff from the east. And a third phase of construction is now underway. This phase of 262 private homes, known as The Oaks, has a mixture of two, three and four bedroom properties and apartments. The first of these properties have now been released for sale. Victoria Williams, sales director for Persimmon Homes East Wales, said: “We’re delighted to be pushing forward with this next phase of development at St Edeyrn’s Village. “We have seen huge demand for these homes, which is no surprise given the site’s fantastic location and the mix of properties on offer.

“This next phase will be made up primarily of smaller two- bedroom houses and apartments. “These are sure to be hugely popular with first-time buyers and investors.”

Construction work at the site started in April last year. Hundreds of people are now enjoying the ever-growing community. Persimmon Homes has permission for 1,020 new properties on the land, where a primary school, convenience store, café, allotments and community orchard will also be built.
