Low-noise BGG models
Generators from BGG UK are available from 9kVA to 2250kVA in silent and super-silent canopy/container variations, with claimed noise levels of as low as 59dB at 1m. Rental specification machines have: Deep Sea auto-start control panels, with other options available, load share and sync-lock systems, rig-safe and DNV standard offshore and refinery options, and bunded extended run fuel tanks. All sets are hot-dipped
galvanised and powder- coated for durability. Road-tow options are
available on models up to 200kVA, and the recently introduced Fusteq range of independently cooled super-silent generators from 45kVA to 1250kVA are designed to both reduce noise levels and to offer fuel consumption savings of up to 15%.

While not being a hire application, the capabilities of JCB Broadcrown’s generators have been shown by their recent selection to provide stand-by power at the 27-storey high One Bank development at London’s Canary Wharf. The deal includes the installation of five G2500SMU5 model 2500kVA/2MW diesel generators. The company will install the generators on the
26th floor of the building, creating an acoustically-lined plant room to house the 10MW power supply, which will produce enough energy to power up to 5,000 domestic homes for 24 hours. It has also designed the power management system which will provide sequenced load control for critical load supply, to avoid the chance of machine failure.
