Makita launches ‘Outdoor
Adventure’ range Makita UK is giving users the power to go anywhere, thanks to its new ‘Outdoor Adventure’ range. The new Outdoor Adventure products make use of Makita’s popular 18V
LXT battery system, offering the same features, performance and versatility. However, gone is the famed and familiar blue livery in favour of a fetching olive green colourway. Ideal for leisure activities, as opposed to heavy duty site work, the new equipment is designed for such wholesome pursuits as camping, fishing, hiking, or even a simple picnic in the park. The line-up includes cooler/warmer boxes, an inflator/blower, flashlights, fans, audio equipment, a kettle, coffee maker and more. There are even combi drills in the new olive shade, for hirers looking for something a little different. “We have launched several limited and special edition products over the years, and they always sell out fast,” said Makita UK Marketing Manager, Kevin Brannigan. “Whether you’re already a Makita user or new to the family, the Outdoor Adventure range provides new options of cordless power and performance for leisure activities, with each product utilising our world renowned LXT technology.” Makita’s Outdoor Adventure products are available as body-only or in kit format, with battery and charger supplied depending on the type of product.
Metal & Modular launches ECO Panel
Trolley After innovating in the non-powered access arena – we refer, of course, to its groundbreaking ‘Navigator’ scissor lifts – Metal & Modular is returning to its métier with the launch of the brand new ‘ECO’ plasterboard and panel trolley. The new device differs from other autobraked models in
its growing range, in that four of its all-terrain castors are braked – a fifth castor is still included in the centre of the unit for additional stability and manoeuvrability. Otherwise, the new unit is safe for two-person operation,
with a load limit of 1000kg meaning that it will safely shift a sizeable quantity of plasterboard panels, doors, OSB, MDF and other similarly flat construction materials. The ECO trolley itself is made from powder coated 2mm
and 6mm steel, with a retractable ratchet strap to secure loads and LWH dimensions of 1270mm x 580mm x 1490mm. It is certainly not insubstantial, then, but it will easily fit through a standard doorway and it is built to withstand the rigours of use on the jobsite.

It has exceptional power, offering petrol performance on a battery powered tool, making it ideal for clearing large areas of wet leaves. It’s especially quiet too, thanks to the STIHL Noise Reduction System, which reduces the high-pitched sound output that is usually associated with cordless leaf blowers.
And what’s more, the BGA 300 is prepared for STIHL Connected - a new way of managing the maintenance and tracking the working time of your professional fleet of tools.
PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE: THE BGA 300 CORDLESS BLOWER.
